Today, E-Square introduced the Universal Panel Door & Enclosure Lockout, a new addition to its energy-isolation range that answers a long-standing gap in the market: panel doors and enclosures that cannot be locked. For OEMs and distribution partners, it is a fresh, differentiated product line, and another example of E-Square continually innovating new solutions for its partners.
Electrical panels, switchboards and enclosures are rarely built with a lock point. This leaves a persistent gap in lockout/tagout programmes worldwide: A properly isolated breaker sitting behind a door that has no way to accept a padlock. The Universal Panel Door & Enclosure Lockout closes it with a simple, robust idea: two moulded ABS plates sit either side of the door seam, and a single padlock through the aligned lock point holds the door shut.
The device fits in seconds on panels of any make: hinged or non-hinged, single-door or double-door, with factory-applied industrial adhesive tape, with no drilling and no exposure to live parts. It rivets on where a permanent lock point is preferred, accepts one padlock or a hasp for up to six workers, and is designed to support compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(ii). A wide-span version extends the same design to junction boxes, wireways, pull boxes and auxiliary enclosures, and vinyl-coated steel cable versions reach lock points a rigid device cannot.
An unlocked panel door is a problem everyone recognises but few products actually solve. This is a new answer to it, and its built to be customised. For OEMs, that means a differentiated line they can specify to length and configuration, and one more reason to keep innovating alongside us.

Customisation is central to the range. Cable versions are supplied in 6″, 9″ and 12″ lengths, with any length made to order, and plate span, mounting method and configuration can be tailored to a partners application or a customers specific enclosures.
